ABOUT US
Aims & Objectives
Building on the growing appetite for cricket tours of clubs and players around the world and the general push towards the globalisation of cricket, the Asian Cricket Sixes Tour (ACST) was formed in 2000 as the first building block of the World Cricket Sixes Association with the objectives of:
- harmonising the organisation and rules of Sixes cricket;
- the creation of new Cricket Sixes events such as the Phuket Sixes and integrating them into an annual series of quality club cricket events in Asia;
- promoting the development and growth of cricket in and around the Asia region.
Now in the sixth year of operation we are proud to include new Sixes initiated by ACST in Phuket and Hong Kong along with established sixes tournaments in Shanghai, Chiang Mai, Bali, New South Wales, Jakarta and Singapore as part of the ACST circuit.
Now is a really exciting time to be involved with cricket internationally as the sport seeks to develop globally through such initiatives as the ACC and ICC Development Programs. The Asian Cricket Sixes Tour encourages and allows club cricketers from all parts of the globe to play their part in expanding our sport as they participate in the genuine enjoyment and cameraderie which are integral to cricket Sixes events; events which often take place in places where you might least expect to find cricket being played.
It is integral to the philosophy of ACST to grow the sport of cricket in Asia. By generating seed funds and the creation of organisational structures to manage the sustainable growth of cricket in these areas, and assisted by ACST’s professional back-up, ACST Sixes events provide a focus for the development of cricket in places where the sport would not exist in an organised form.

Kevin Bishop — Webmaster
Kevin has been a keen follower of cricket since he was a small boy and can remember first watching Test matches on a black & white television set long before the days of slow-motion replays and “hawkeye”! Despite being born and raised in that famous English cricketing county of Norfolk, just a few miles from the homes of Henry Blofeld (of Test Match Special fame) and ex-England batting cousins Bill and John Edrich, his playing skills sadly fell far short of the latter. As a result he now concentrates on the non-playing side of the game and makes himself useful as a qualified scorer and umpire.
Widely travelled and having experience in business management, photography and publishing, IT,
and occupations as diverse as taxi-driver, restaurant manager and award-winning author, Kevin brings a broad range of skills to ACST.
