Mr Saurav Chatterjee has been appointed to the Board of the Asian Cricket Sixes Tour, the leading organiser of cricket sixes tournaments across Asia Pacific.

The Asian Cricket Sixes Tour ('ACST') formally announced today that Mr Saurav Chatterjee has been appointed to the Board of the company.

Chairman of the ACST, Mr Michael Maher, welcomed the appointment, "Saurav has a wealth of experience with the biggest brands and names in the sports marketing industry, particularly on the sub continent, and at ACST we're very pleased to welcome him on board to further drive our continuing growth. ACST directors are based in Australia, Hong Kong and India with Saurav's appointment which, complemented by our representatives in UK and New Zealand, gives ACST excellent reach to cricket markets worldwide."

Mr Chatterjee said, "I'm delighted to be appointed to this position on the Board at ACST which, through our tournaments and activities, is both a leading force for the development of cricket in the region and also a wonderful and reliable source of cricketing camaraderie and competition. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and fully contributing to the work of the organisation. There's many more great times ahead."

Another glorious day of sunshine drenched the cricketers on Finals Day of the Private Capital Hong Kong Cricket Festival 2009 being played at Mission Road, Kowloon. Twenty teams were competing in Men's and Women's competitions in this eighth edition of the annual international, inter club tournament.

Play remarkably got underway on time in the morning following a night of superb food and great company at a packed Festival Gala Dinner held at Spice Restaurant. Carlsberg and Thirsty Horse wines were free flowing and a great night was had by all, which for many continued into the small hours.

Australian cricketer and singer-songwriter Terry Ward wrote and recorded a song specially commissioned for the Hong Kong Cricket Festival. Appropriately entitled “Cricket” it was aired on RTHK Radio 3 during an interview with Terry as part of the build up to the Hong Kong Festival.
